IEPI Applied Solution Kit -- Integrated Planning

Timeline
2016-2019

ASK Overview

Many California Community Colleges (CCC) are seeking guidance on how to implement new approaches designed to increase institutional effectiveness. To support these efforts, the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office, the Institutional Effectiveness Partnership Initiative (IEPI), the RP Group, and a diverse array of strategic partners are teaming up to create the Applied Solution Kit (ASK). Current topic areas included in the ASK include Change Leadership, Data Disaggregation, Guided Pathways, Integrated Planning, and Strategic Enrollment Management. Current topic areas included in the ASK include Data Disaggregation, Integrated Planning, and Strategic Enrollment Management.

Integrated Planning ASK Summary

Developing, implementing, and sustaining an effective integrated planning process is essential for institutional effectiveness and a critical element in the accreditation process. The Integrated Planning (IP) Applied Solution Kit (ASK) provides a variety of tools, resources, and examples designed to help colleges and districts strengthen planning and integration efforts.

The IP ASK includes a specific integrated planning model that includes five components — Discover, Develop, Implement, Evaluate, and Report. Each component of the IP Model has associated resources and examples that users can adapt for use at their campus. As with all ASK topic areas, tools and resources continue to evolve and expand into fresh focus areas based on community input.

The RP Group's Work

The RP Group's role in this project has been to align the IP ASK with other ASK topic areas and current CCC system resources and initiatives. All IP tools and resources are subjected to a continuous improvement process designed to advance, expand, and elevate IP ASK topic areas into the forefront of CCC improvement efforts. At present, the IP ASK topic area is focused on aligning accreditation standards to best support CCC with evolving accreditation standards being implemented by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior College (ACCJC).

All ASK topic area resources are hosted on the Vision Resource Center. Go here to view the Integrated Planning ASK topic area.
