Introduction

As a benefit of being an RP Group member, we invite any current institutional research, planning, and effectiveness (IRPE) field member interested in growing their own professional development and helping to make a difference in the state to please complete The RP Group Volunteer Application. Your responses are confidential and will not be shared outside The RP Group.

Volunteer opportunities include:

1. (1) Serving as an IRPE representative on statewide committees and workgroups, representing California Community College (CCC) researchers and planners

2. (2) Serving on The RP Group’s organizational and professional development committees

Serving as an IRPE representative on statewide committees and workgroups, representing CCC researchers and planners

The California Community Colleges (CCC) system office has many standing or ad-hoc committees and workgroups that utilize a representative decision-making committee model. As The RP Group is the representative organization for IRPE professionals, The RP Group is asked to recommend RP Group members, who are part of the IRPE field, to serve on statewide committees and workgroups to provide guidance on institutional research, planning, and effectiveness issues.

While IRPE representatives are appointed to statewide committees by The RP Group, they do not represent The RP Group; they represent CCC researchers and planners. These opportunities allow IRPE professionals to contribute to the IRPE field and help improve the California Community Colleges system.

Serving on The RP Group’s organizational and professional development committees

Support The RP Group’s professional development by:

• Serving on the RP Conference Committee

• Serving on the IRPE Summer Institute Committee

• Serving as a reviewer of Strengthening Student Success Conference session proposals

• Supporting RP Group professional development events (e.g., conference room host, workshop host)

Support The RP Group’s organizational development by serving on the:

• Research Advisory Committee

• Strategic Planning Committee

• Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee

Please note that we may receive more applications than opportunities available. Therefore, submission of this application is not a guarantee of appointment. We will keep submissions for up to five years, and you can remove yourself from consideration or update your application at any time.
