Dr. Katie Brohawn
Director of Research, Evaluation & Development

Katie has been conducting research and evaluation in the education space for over a decade. At the RP Group, Dr. Brohawn is responsible for helping to oversee the operations of the organization’s research and evaluation projects including project development, intake, coordination and management.
Before joining the RP Group, she served as Vice President of Research for ExpandED Schools, a non-profit intermediary in New York City dedicated to closing the opportunity gap that is so persistent in our country. There she helped establish research and evaluation priorities to raise quality and inform policy. She conducted internal research for all ExpandED initiatives as well as oversaw external evaluations of ExpandED innovations, including two randomized control trials funded by the US Department of Education.
She has also previously served as Director of Research and Evaluation in the NYCDOE’s Research and Policy Support Group where she worked closely with the Institutional Research and Policy offices at the City University of New York (CUNY) to jointly answer targeted policy questions focused on the K-20 pipeline. Katie holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Tufts University and a BA in Neuroscience from Connecticut College.
