Dr. Daisy Segovia

Senior Researcher

Dr. Segovia is an experienced data interpreter and analyst skilled in transforming complex data into progressive ideas by creating clear, compelling reports, maps, and data visualizations. She currently serves as the project lead for a statewide project exploring the role of geography as a barrier for transfer-motivated community college students, notably for Latinx students and students from low-income backgrounds.

Dr. Segovia brings over 18 years of research experience to this role, having previously worked as a public policy and psychology researcher, research lab manager, and psychology/research methods faculty. A first-generation college student, Dr. Segovia has navigated the CCC and UC systems, receiving associate degrees from Riverside Community College and a bachelor's degree in Psychology from UC Davis. She also holds a PhD in Psychology from the Graduate Center, City University of New York.
