Dr. Hannah Lawler

Dr. Hannah Lawler has led many RP Group projects focused on providing expertise and support to efforts related to racial equity assessment and promoting equity-minded inquiry on college campuses.

Hannah is currently the Dean of Institutional Research at Santa Monica College. In this role, she provides strategic vision, leadership, and oversight for the college’s research and effectiveness functions and provides leadership on campus efforts related to racial equity, Guided Pathways, and accreditation. She co-founded and led one of the pioneering data coaching programs in the California Community Colleges system. She also works with the CCHALES Research Collective at San Diego State University to support and coach 17 colleges, assessing and implementing their Student Equity Plans. She was selected as one of the 2020–2021 California Education Policy Fellowship Program fellows. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Pepperdine University and a doctorate in education from University of Southern California.
