Dr. Marsha Gable is a highly experienced and dedicated professional in the field of higher education, particularly in community college leadership with a strong focus on equity, student success, and social mobility. Her career spans over two decades, during which she has held various key administrative positions and has made significant impact on the completion agenda at educational institutions in the state. Additionally, Dr. Gable has served as an adjunct instructional faculty for over 20 years at the community college level and California State University in behavioral sciences and postsecondary educational leadership.

Currently, Dr. Gable serves as the Interim Vice President of Student Services at Monterey Peninsula College and formerly the Vice President of Student Services at Grossmont College. Additionally, she has provided leadership as Interim President at two colleges: San Diego Miramar College and Grossmont College where she successfully led both institutions effectively and courageously during transitional periods, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Gable has held multiple administrative leadership positions at Cuyamaca College, Santa Ana College, CSU San Marcos, and Palomar College which included leadership of categorical programs, Guided Pathways, program development, strategic enrollment management, and student advocacy and engagement with equity as a foundation to close achievement gaps, especially for historically underserved student communities, to increase social mobility and achieve family sustaining incomes to stop generational poverty.

Dr. Gable possesses a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Community College Leadership, Master’s degree in Sociological Practice, and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences. Dr. Gable is a former Aspen Rising Presidential Fellow as well as a fellow in the inaugural Wheelhouse Advancing Leaders Institute.
