Jeremy Brown is a strategic advisor to the RP Group Board, representing the Chief Instructional Officers of the California Community College system. He currently serves as Vice Chancellor of Educational Services and Planning for the San José – Evergreen Community College District. Prior to this role, he served as Vice President of Instruction at Yuba College and previously as Dean of Student Success and Institutional Effectiveness, during which time he served a term on the RP Group Board. His earlier administrative experience includes serving as Director of Institutional Effectiveness at Lake Tahoe Community College.
Dr. Brown earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Azusa Pacific University, a postgraduate certificate in New Learning Technologies from the University of La Verne, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a focus on Higher Education from the University of Southern California. He began his career in higher education as an administrative assistant and adjunct professor, later transitioning into leadership roles focused on student success, equity, and institutional effectiveness.
He has contributed to statewide initiatives through the Student Equity and Achievement Workgroup, the Common Course Numbering Taskforce, and as a Strategic Enrollment Management Coach for the Institutional Effectiveness Partnership Initiative (IEPI). He is also a graduate of the Aspen Rising Presidents Fellowship and the Wheelhouse Aspiring CEO Institute.
