Dr. Robert Pimentel
Strategic Advisor, Chief Student Services Officers Association (CSSO)
Robert Pimentel is currently the Vice President of Educational Services and Institutional Effectiveness at Fresno City College. He oversees strategic planning, enrollment management, institutional research, adult education, and campus strategic initiatives to improve student success. Dr. Pimentel’s background includes nearly twenty-two years of experience working with California Community Colleges in a variety of roles, including classified professional, administrator, adjunct faculty, and executive leadership.
Dr. Pimentel is committed to social justice and equity work that promotes student success through addressing systemic barriers and injustices that exist throughout the system. Prior to joining the Fresno City College executive team, Dr. Pimentel was a dean of educational services at West Hills College Coalinga, where he managed all the instructional programs and focused on strategy to improve education in the rural communities of the westside of Fresno County. Dr. Pimentel holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Fresno State, a master’s in social work from Bakersfield State, and a Bachelor’s in social work from Fresno State.
