Amber Hroch

Regional Board Member, Los Angeles County

Amber Hroch is the Dean of Institutional Effectiveness, Research, Planning, and Grants at Cerritos College with a passion for improving student success, especially as it relates to equity and guided pathways. She also teaches a Research Methods and Data Analysis course in the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California (USC). Prior to Cerritos College, Dr. Hroch has 12 years of higher education research, with six years directly in the California Community College system in institutional effectiveness. Amber is heavily involved with various committees on her campus, supports federal and state reporting, oversees institutional and academic planning and grants, chairs the Institutional Review Board, and is responsible for training faculty as data coaches. Dr. Hroch holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), a M.Ed. in Post-Secondary Administration and Student Affairs from USC, and a M.A. and Ph.D. in Higher Education and Organizational Change from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
