Marc Beam
Senior Researcher
Marc Beam, Senior Researcher for the RP Group, has worked in the California Community College system for more than 17 years, having previously held institutional research director positions at Kern Community College District, Shasta College, and most recently as an Associate Vice Chancellor at Yosemite Community College District.
Mr. Beam has extensive experience supporting community colleges with accreditation, enrollment management, vocational program review, state/federal reporting requirements, and using data to inform decision makers regarding measures of success and institutional effectiveness. He has worked on GIS mapping (see CCCGIS), enrollment forecasting, student attendance at multiple colleges (swirl), and measuring alignment of TOP codes in vocational certificates across the state.
Mr. Beam has direct experience in using labor market information to support career technical education and grant funding decisions by using rubrics in vocational program review. His work with student focus groups and student surveys has been replicated at colleges across the state. He holds a BA in Social Science from Chapman University in California and a MA in Educational Technology & Leadership from Prescott College in Arizona.
