
The RP Group is the organization representing California community college research and planning professionals. We also represent the growing class of student learning assessment professionals. The RP Group provides leadership in research, analysis, assessment, and planning issues for California community colleges.
We are a dynamic, involved group with an active research agenda. We continuously support the professional development of our members through workshops, conferences, listserves, newsletters, networking opportunities, a resource-rich website, research and writing opportunities, and by developing and disseminating new tools.
The RP Group serves as a liaison with other professional groups, such as the Chancellor's Office, CCLC, CPEC, the Academic Senate, the Board of Governors, the California Association for Institutional Research, and several national research-related agencies and organizations. We leverage our partnerships to influence and participate in policy-level decisions that relate to research, planning, and student success. The RP Group strives to bring a research perspective to important state-level issues such as accountability, defining transfer rates, strategic planning, and responses to legislative mandates.
The RP Group also includes the Center for Student Success, an affiliated research-focused organization that conducts original, cutting-edge research in order to galvanize support for our mission and to promote the advancement of student learning.
Your institution’s annual dues support RP Group activities. In addition, individuals from dues-paying institutions are eligible for significant discounts for RP-sponsored events and member organizations may vote in RP board elections and referendums.
